Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC)
Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC)

What makes it important?
VDC
plays the main role during difficult driving conditions.
When its sensors detect
spinning wheels, VDC controls the Boxer engine and Symmetrical AWD in order to
prevent skidding, and to keep the vehicle on path.
How does it work?
VDC applies brakes to the spinning wheel and re-directs the power away to the other wheels to maintain control. It also reduces the engine's power to prevent wheel spin.

Why makes Subaru brand unique?
Standard on all models: Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, Boxer engine, Vehicle Dynamics Control System, Double Wishbone Suspension, six airbags, and ring-shaped reinforcement frame. It's what makes Subaru, a Subaru.
Or, in other words: Great balance, better performance and efficiency, increased stability and control, smooth drive, and improved safety. It's what makes Subaru, a Subaru.
Our key is safe, confident and engaging driving; never an option, always a given.
